Social Program
The social programs include a welcome mixer, "Art in Science"
exhibition, conference dinner, conference tour, banquet, mini-concert
and a ladies program.

"Art in Science" Exhibition
"Art in Science Exhibition/Competition" will involve an
exhibition of photos from any interesting scientific observations
made in areas within the scope of the conference with a description
of its relation to art. Photos will be exhibited throughout
the session, refereed and awards be given
out during the conference banquet. The Photo should be framed in a maximum overall size of 70 cm
x 70 cm, although we recommend smaller size. The title of the photo in terms of its relation to art should
be given and the scientific description of what the photo represents
should be given in no more than 300 words. Everyone is encouraged
to participate and for those interested in sending photos submit
the following form.
The deadline for participation notice is July 31, 2001.
There is a cash award (1st prize: US $500; 2nd prize: US $300 each
for 2 people; 3rd prize: US $ 200 each for 3 people). Please inform
us of your participation as soon as possible.

Conference Tour
An afternoon is set aside on Wednesday (Aug. 22) so you may travel
and enjoy the beautiful natural scenery, sea-coast and
volcanic mountains of Cheju Island on a symposium organized tour.
Free conference tour ticket will be distributed upon registeration.

Ladies Program (Tour)
Ladies program involves various events from sightseeing to sporting
activities. The places to be visited are detailed below and sporting
events include horseback riding, hunting, boating, submarine tour
and golfing. There will be cost involved for each event and for
details of places, dates and times
